What do I see on the home page?
When you first open the Lecturer module, you will see the screen below.
- Click this icon to navigate back to the home page. You can do so from any page in the Lecturer module.
- This is a drop-down menu. Open it to access the various components of Osiris for Lecturers.
- If you work for more than one school, you can select the right school here.
- This is where you can edit your details (‘My details’). This is where you log out.
- My details Click ‘Edit’ and ‘Save’ to edit your personal details.
- Settings
- This is the Help menu, which can be accessed from any screen within the Lecturer module.
- This is where you can select the English-language version of the module.
- The Home menu provides direct access to the screen in which you can approve students, by clicking on the relevant row.
- The Home menu provides direct access to the screen in which you can enter or review your students' grades, by clicking on the relevant row.
The colour of the number reflects how much time you have left to enter your grades.
- Green: You have plenty of time to complete entering grades.
- Orange: Your grades are due soon.
- Red: Your grades are overdue.

4. 2. You can also select the security level of your notes beforehand.
- Edit your settings with regard to notes.
- Select the option in the pull-down menu that best reflects the required security level.
- Tick the relevant boxes. These settings govern the level of transparency.
Don't forget to save changes!
You can navigate to the following menus:

- Messages
- Reports
- Course Catalogue
Immediately after logging in, the user is presented with the the home screen, which shows all the modules the user is allowed to access, as well as any action points that need addressing for each module.
1. Student:
- Students still to be approved (the number is shown).
- Action points still need to be addressed (number of action points a deadline that is far away, or which do not have a deadline, are shown in green; number of action points to be addressed within the next five days are shown in orange; number of action items which are overdue are shown in red).
2. Grade:
- Grades to be signed: Number of grades which have been submitted, but have not yet been signed. Depending on whose grades the lecturer is allowed to sign, the number may be limited to grades submitted by the lecturer himself, or to all course grades which have been submitted.
- Students whose test grades are yet to be entered.
3. Messages:
- Shows unread messages sent to the employee through the Osiris communications channel, showing the most recent messages first. Messages are considered to have been read when the message is opened in the pop-up window.
If you wish to directly access the action items, click the row ( 1 ).
Student: Find student
- Details: Students requiring approval -> ‘Find Student menu – Progress’ (this will give you a list of students who have yet to be approved.)
- Details: Action items to be addressed -> ‘Action items to be addressed’ screen
Grade: ‘Grades’ screen
- Grades yet to be signed: ‘Grades yet to be signed’ screen
- Draft assessment forms: ‘Draft assessment forms’ screen
